2013 Mini Countryman : BMW

The transference of hallmark MINI qualities and values into a new vehicle segment has won over new target groups worldwide to the brand’s unmistakable style. Autumn 2012 will optically discern the British carmaker’s first model to offer all-wheel drive benefiting from an extensive round of modifications which will further enhance the allure of its boundless driving fun. Detailed refinements to the car’s design and the selection of materials available for the interior shine the spotlight even more brightly on a premium character none of the MINI Countryman’s rivals can match. The spacious five-door’s optimized ease of avail underlines its very modern appreciation of practicality.



The Countryman is basically the Cooper but is more immensely colossal and heavier and has 4WD. There are no changes made to the exteriors but the Countryman will come with ‘Brilliant Copper Metallic’ and ‘Blazing Red Metallic’ colours. The Countryman is a first of its kind model from Mini, is the first Mini to get four doors and retains many of the Mini’s styling characteristics. There is a lot off chrome utilized in the front but where the 2013 Countryman differs from the Cooper is in the interiors.


The cabin gets new circumvents for the immensely colossal speedo, the air vents are finished in ‘Carbon Black’. Mini has repositioned the power window switches to the door pads from the central console. The upholstery has new colours and customers can opt for a rear bench instead of buckets seats. The central console has a new layout but other than that the cabin remains the same.



The engine line remains the same and the 2013 Countryman will perpetuate to come with a 1.6-litre, direct injection, turbo charged petrol engine. The engine has been developed with BMW and produces 184PS@5500rpm with a torque rating of 260Nm between 1600 to 5000rpm.

The diesel engine is available in 2 different trim variants which produces 90PS@4000rpm with a maximum torque of 215 Nm produced between 1750 to 2500 rpm and acceleration to 100 takes 12.9seconds. Its more powerful variant produces 145PS@ 4000rpm and 305Nm between1750 to 2700 rpm with an acceleration time to 100kmph in 9.3 seconds.
