BMW Alpina B5 BiTurbo sedan

Alpina has quietly upgraded the B5 BiTurbo. While there doesn't appear to be any styling changes, the model benefits from a revised tuning package which enables the twin-turbo 4.4-liter V8 to produce 540 PS (397 kW / 533 hp) and 730 Nm (538 lb-ft) of torque - an increase of 33 PS (24 kW / 32 hp) and 30 Nm (22 lb-ft). This enables the sedan to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 4.5 seconds (an improvement of 0.2 seconds) and hit a top speed of 319 km/h (198 mph) - an increase of 12 km/h (7 mph). In terms of efficiency, owners can expect to average 10.5 L/100km (26.9 mpg UK / 22.4 mpg US) with CO2 emissions of 244 g/km.

Porsche Panamera Turbo S by edo competition

edo competition is following up their earlier Porsche Panamera creations, Moby Dick and Hellboy, with another package but this time for the Panamera Turbo S variant. Opting not to give this range topping model a cheeky name, edo's Panamera Turbo S is mainly defined by its power package which gives an additional 150 HP (110 kW) and 130 Nm (96 lb-ft) of torque for a total of 700 HP (515 kW) and 880 Nm (649 lb-ft). The production Turbo S produces 550 HP (405 kW) and 800 Nm (590 lb-ft). But we're left wondering if this is merely a preliminary upgrade which leaves room for the future. If you'll recall, edo's Moby Dick which was just a Panamera Turbo produced 750 HP (552 kW) from its standard 500 HP (368 kW) - 250 HP (184 kW) more than stock. Regardless, edo tells us modifications include new exhaust manifolds and turbochargers, high-flow catalytic converters and air filters as well as a stainless steel high-performance exhaust system with butterfly valves. The engine management system was re-programmed for optimization of the new hardware. The edo Turbo S sprints from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.5 seconds, compared the 3.8 seconds for the standard car, and hits 200 km/h (124 mph) in just 11.4 seconds, as opposed to 13.5 seconds. The top speed of the edo Turbo S stands at 340 km/h (211 mph) which is amazingly electronically limited. edo also adds a lowering module which adjusts the vehicle's ground height by up to 30mm and 22-inch carbon-fiber-look racing wheels.

Audi A7 tuned by B&B

B&B Automobiltechnik has introduced a new tuning program for the Audi A7. In terms of styling, the hatchback can be outfitted with front fender vents, a lowered suspension (which reduces the ride height by approximately 30mm) and 19- to 21-inch alloy wheels. Under the hood, the 3.0-liter V6 TFSI engine can be tuned to produce 385 PS (283 kW / 380 hp) and 490 Nm (361 lb-ft) of torque - an increase of 85 PS (62 kW / 84 hp) and 50 Nm (37 lb-ft). There's also a stage two package - which adds a high-flow air filter and an optimized intercooler - that enables the engine to churn out 408 PS (300 kW / 402 hp) and 520 Nm (383 lb-ft) of torque. Lastly, the stage three package includes the aforementioned equipment as well as a sports exhaust system for 425 PS (313 kW / 419 hp) and 540 Nm (398 lb-ft) of torque. The 3.0-liter TDI, on the other hand, can be upgraded to produce up to 325 PS (239 kW / 321 hp) and 640 Nm (472 lb-ft) of torque.

Audi RS3 by Sportec

Sportec has introduced a new tuning package for the Audi RS3 Sportback. Looking tastefully restrained, the model has a stainless steel sports exhaust system, an adjustable coilover suspension (which reduces the ride height by 20-40mm) and 20-inch alloy wheels that cover high-performance Movit brakes. Thanks to a revised ECU, the 2.5-liter five-cylinder engine produces 408 PS (300 kW / 402 hp) and 550 Nm (406 lb-ft) of torque - an increase of 68 PS (50 kW / 67 hp) and 100 Nm (74 lb-ft). If that isn't impressive enough, non-Swiss versions can be tuned to deliver 500 PS (368 kW / 493 hp).

Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG by Senner Tuning

The designers and technicians at tuning firm Senner Tuning have finally gotten their hands on a Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG and it wasn't before long that the lightweight super sport was improved. Starting with essentials such as a remapped ECU, high performance air filter kit and stainless steel exhaust system, additional power output of 35 PS (35 bhp / 26 kW) and 40 Nm (30 lb-ft) was coaxed from the 6.2-liter V8 which normally produces 571 PS (563 bhp / 420 kW) and 650 Nm (479 lb-ft) of torque. Custom made Corniche Vegas wheels with a stainless steel outer rim are from Aerotechnik in 9x20 inch rims with 255/30R20 tires at the front and 11x20 inch rims and 285/30R20 tires at the rear. Just beyond the wheels are KW adjustable coilovers in each of the four corners. Owner Benno Senner admits that greater extremes can be taken with the SLS just like with any vehicle, but insists the SLS in its basic form is quite well balanced and any further tuning would probably do more harm than good. But if you want more, Senner can always put together an individual package as per the customers requests.

The result is 680 PS (670 bhp / 500 kW), 840 Nm (620 lb-ft) of torque extracted from the serial C63 AMG which produces 487 PS (358 kW / 480 hp) and 600 Nm (443 lb-ft) of torque. 0-100 km/h drops to 4.0 seconds while top speed ends at 335 km/h (208 mph). This is achieved via a water cooled supercharger, revised engine management, oil coolers on the engine and trans plus high-flow catalytic converters, new headers and stainless steel exhaust. For improved aerodynamics, the V63 Supercharged receives a front spoiler and rear diffuser with enlarged fins both crafted in visible carbon fiber. Quarter panel wheel well extensions allow widening the track by 80mm and a boot lid spoiler completes the exterior package. Wheels are provided by VĂ„TH's own three-spoke 9x20 inch forged rims with 255/30-20 tires at the front and 11x20 inch rims with  295/25-20 tires at the rear. A coilover suspension allows a 20-65 mm drop in ride height while stiffness is also adjustable. Inside there's a leather upholstered sports steering wheel, a 360 km/h speedometer dial and a carbon trimmed interior. The price for the entire package, not including car, is EUR 64,308.
