Mazda3 MPS by MR Car Design

Erftstadt-based tuner MR Car Design has developed a tuning program for the Mazda3 MPS. The standard version comes with a 2.3-liter turbo engine developing 260 hp (191 kW) and 280 lb-ft (380 Nm) of torque at 3,000 rpm, but after the tuner worked its software magic it now outputs 310 hp (231 kW). The 50 hp (37 kW) power increase is available for 699 euros. MR Car Design is also offering a downpipe with or without catalytic convertor, along with a cat-back exhaust system. A KW coilover suspension and Qxigin 14-inch alloys are part of the package, plus a Forge Intercooler including all turbo hoses.

Opel Insignia OPC by MR Car Design

MR Car Design has introduced a new tuning package for the Opel Insignia OPC. Looking low and menacing, the model features an air suspension and 20-inch Oxigin wheels. Under the hood, the 2.8-liter V6 engine has been equipped with an optimized ECU and a K&N air filter. Thanks to these modifications, the mill develops 375 PS (276 kW / 370 hp) and 495 Nm (365 lb-ft) of torque - an increase of 50 PS (37 kW / 49 hp) and 60 Nm (44 lb-ft). Performance specifications weren't released, but the standard model accelerates from 0-60 mph in 5.8 seconds.

Renault Clio RS by MR Car Design

German tuner MR Car Design has brought its tuning talents to the Renault Clio RS.

The result is the hot hatch you see in photos here, with a body kit that includes a new rear diffuser with integrated dual-exhaust.

For the ride, the tuner provides rims in 8x18-inch dimensions wrapped in 225/35R18 tires as well as a KW Variant 3 coilover suspension.

Output on the Clio RS is also now 220 PS (162 kW / 217 hp) on the naturally-aspirated 2.0 liter engine.

VW T5 by MR Car Design

MR Car Design has a tuning package for the VW T5 Transporter that adds a little 'wanderlust' appeal to this modest people mover.

First off is an ECU remap that bumps the power quotient up to 208 PS (153 kW / 205 bhp) and 487 Nm (359 lb-ft) of torque. Now, the German tuner doesn't say which power plant they're dealing with here but we have to guess that it's the 2.0 liter TDI diesel with an output of 132 kW (179 PS / 177 bhp) and 400 Nm (300 lb-ft) of churning power.

MR Car Design also lifts the V-max lock and adds a new 4-pipe sport exhaust system for the proper 'cool van' sound.

The aerodynamic kit is supplied by Abt Sportsline and features a front-and-rear spoiler, a new grill, fog light inserts and side skirts. The headlamps also get LED daytime running lights.

For the air ride suspension, a lowering of up to 100 mm is offered. Wheels are the 10 x 22-inch TN4 Tomason in black alloy fitted with 265/30R22 tires.

Ford Focus RS by MR Car Design

German tuner MR Car Design has turned the Ford Focus RS into an Audi RS3 and 1-Series M competitor.

The Erfstadt-based tuner ups the power quotient on the Focus RS from 305 PS (225 kW / 301 bhp) to 360 PS (265 kW / 355 bhp) by means of an ECU remap, in-house exhaust and downpipe, 200-cell catalytic converter and a sport air filter from K&N.

A little weight also gets dropped from the Focus RS, and all that tuning work is good for a substantial reduction of the series model's 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) sprint time of 5.9 seconds. Without providing any specifics, MR Car Design says their version handily beats the original.

The Focus RS also gets a Variant 1 KW coilover suspension to better manage those lateral forces on the road.

Mercedes-Benz SL 65 AMG by MR Car Design

German tuner MR Car Design calls it the 'Shining Star', it's own version of the Mercedes-Benz SL 65 AMG.

The Erftstadt-based tuner does a little updating of the exterior on this 2005 SL with the addition of a new SLR inspired carbon bonnet from fellow tuner Kicherer. Optics also include a new rear bumper, black fender lights at the front and an new mid-mounted rear brake light in black too.

Upgrading takes place under the hood too, with a software tweaking of the ECU that adds 80 PS (79 bhp / 59 kW) and 110 Nm (81 lb-ft) of torque to the SL 65 AMG's standard output of 612 PS (450 kW/604 bhp) and 1,001 Nm (738 lb-ft) from the 6.0 liter twin-turbo V12 engine.

The V-max is also unlocked on the SL 65 AMG, a sport exhaust system is added and a suspension lowering by 30 mm is performed.

The car rides on 20-inch forged rims by Carlsson.

On the inside are custom-made Black Series dial lenses.

Golf VI R tuned by MR Car Design

German tuner MR Car Design has a new tuning package for the MkVI Golf R.

The retro-flavored remaking the previous Golf R, called the MR6R, consists of an ECU remap of the 2.0 liter TFSI and a new stainless-steel sport exhaust system, among other modifications, that puts on tap 330 PS (243 kW /325 bhp) and 470 Nm (345 lb-ft) of torque instead of the standard issue 270 PS (199 kW / 266 bhp) and 350 Nm (258 lb-ft).

That power boost will set you back €699.

A set of "emotion" wheels called Strada is also on offer, 8 x 19-inch rims in a 10-spoke design wrapped in 235/35-19 tires which MR Car design claims makes the wheels look even larger.

There's also a new set of springs from H&R to help manage the additional bounce from the extra 60 horses.

For an output upgrade, the 4.2 liter TDI diesel engine gets a new K & N air filter and some ECU optimization that dials power up to 374 PS/275 kW (series 326 PS/240 kW) and 870 Nm (642 lb-ft) of torque (series 760 Nm/560 lb-ft). MR Car Design also offers to lift the "tiresome" (as they describe it) Vmax and remove any electronic speed limit.

The Erftstadt-based tuner provides the Q7 with new 22-inch alloy wheels, MRGT22, in 9.5 x 22 dimensions with Icebear (polar bear) W300 tires sized 265/35R22. Electronic suspension lowering is also on offer.
