VW Touareg II widebody by JE Design

Taking a break from what seems like an endless string of tuned Porsche Cayenne's on steroids, someone finally paid attention to its more mainstream VW Group sibling, the second generation Volkswagen Touareg.

From Leingarten, Germany, JE Design has prettied the SUV up with a widebody kit consisting of a front spoiler, wheelhouse arch extensions, rear apron insert, roof spoiler and rear hatch blend, all for 5355 Euro including VAT. Dual exhaust pipes with either round or trapezium shaped tips are available for 595 Euro. Topping-off the wide body look is a set of 22 inch wheels which can be custom painted.

For performance JE Design has optimsed the engine management on the 3.0-liter TSFI-engine providing 440 hp (324 kW) verus the standard 379 hp (279 kW). Torque bumps up from 580 to 630 Nm. As a result, 0-100 kph takes 5.9 instead of 6.5 seconds and the top speed raises to 255 km/h instead of 240. The cost is 3999 Euro which includes one year warranty for the engine, turbo, transmission and the power train and can be extended to two years for an additional 199 Euro.

Pneumatic electronic suspension lowering module which lowers the vehicles 35 mm adds another 1428 Euro, however the entire package including assembly, paint and TÜV registration is available for 21,105 Euro.
